Probably the most inspirational thing I’ve read on a library desk, other than “Sigma Pi Rules” (Taken with Instagram at Seton Hall University)

Put yourself in the shoes of another close your eyes and imagine the walls of their mind closing in. This is your friend, your mother, your father, your significant other, it’s everyone. Communicate, have your voice heard and don’t shut anyone out over little things. Societal beliefs aside, you control who you are and what you do everyday. Don’t be the person that you’ve tried to avoid. Be true, be genuine, simply be you. For no one can take the quality away from you. Talk to someone, don’t bottle it up. I learned the hard way.
This morning I recommitted to something that I should have been doing since the beginning of the semester. I challenged myself to wake up early every morning and exercise for at least an hour. I was able to maintain a regular habit but all of a sudden I discontinued all efforts and I had ultimately failed myself. I’ve been trying to restart my motivation but I was flat-lining; I didn’t know what to do. I was tempted with junk food and terrible desires of which I could not fend off. But I’ve reached a point where I finally needed to say NO. I had successfully recommitted and I am planning to attend the gym this morning as well; I am also planning to continue this from now until the end of the semester. So, we all know life gets in the way sometimes, it loves to rear its ugly head once in a while and intervene with things that, to some of us, are important. But that is an unacceptable excuse, life and other things like that are bound to happen, it’s natural. Were all human, we make mistakes it’s part of the “life” we live. Determination and optimism is key when it comes to making the decisions we sometimes loathe to make. However, sometimes we lose that determination and optimistic spirit and that in entirety is sadly also a part of life. I’ve experienced that loss of motivation several times in my life and it’s just the saddest thing. Wallowing in your sadness and depression, please don’t do that to yourself, you’re a bigger person than that. Make your life worth while, don’t sit around pondering on “what if’s” but mobilize yourself to making those “What if’s” in to “What is”. Even though this may sound cliche, If you want something really badly all you have to do is reach out and grab it. Your life depends on the choices and paths you take in life and if you choose to wallow, then wallow; just remember that you may never strive for your goals again. So in conclusion I will leave you with a quote from my inspiration Mahatma Gandhi: ”Be the change you want to see in the world”.
I’m back, it’s weird using this thing again. But now, this blog isn’t for venting but more of a motivational inspirational sort of type of thing; I really don’t know where I’m going with this but hopefully le followers will get the gist of it. I’m just going to go through daily life and compile my experiences and encounters in to something optimistic. So, here we go.
